Dead Poets Society by N.H. Kleinbaum
5.0
“We were romantics. We didn’t just read poetry; we let it drip from our tongues like honey. Spirits soared, women swooned, and gods were created, gentleman. Not a bad way to spend an evening, eh?”
I watched the movie when I was 15 and I loved it so much. I fell in love with every line. And I can’t even express my emotions (sorry Mr. Keating) when I find out about this book. I wanted to read it in original since I wanted to really feel and understand the language. It was worth it!
The story isn’t just about literature and poetry. It’s about living, feeling, dreaming, daring.
And boy, did I cry. I cried even when I knew what was going to happen but the feelings were so overwhelming. So intense. The despair and helplessness, the love for life all in verses a brave roars.
