This was my first Jane Austen read and definitely not my last. I've seen in other reviews that a lot of people could not bring themselves to feel for Emma, but I loved her character so much. She was entirely vain, snobbish, and selfish and that's why it was so satisfying to see her get lectured and, thankfully, change in the course of the novel. Mr. Knightley is one of the best written male leads I've read. Best book I've read this year and one I'll likely think of for a long time. <3
