This was not at all what I expected it to be, but in a good way! There's so much juicy metaphysical worldbuilding here, the book keeps peeling back layers to reveal a world stranger and stranger. Loved it. Knocking off a star because the book felt a little...overlong? The whole time I was reading it I kept feeling like there was just too much book. I think it lost momentum multiple times by switching POVs. But regardless! A book I enjoyed.
