I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy

emotional funny reflective fast-paced

5.0

It feels weird rating someone's personal life experiences, but I feel like I can comment on the writing and overall tone of this book. I also thought reading about Jennette's life experiences through her own lens was incredibly raw and eye-opening. The tone felt light even though the topics were quite heavy. I thought she was so real and vulnerable and the book felt quick and hard to put down. It's also amazing how little you know about the people in your favorite TV shows. Jennette had so many things going on in her life and I think her book was a really great window into that. I really liked her personal perspective and this one should definitely be picked up!
