How is it this series gets better with each book?! I’m OBSESSED with the Lachlan family and I genuinely wish I could visit Prickle Island. I dreamed of being a zookeeper or vet my whole life so I was super intrigued by this series from the get go and I fall in love with the series as it continues. Hannah is fun because she is particularly relatable for me….from ADHD hyper fixation projects to obscure cultural references that absolutely show my age. I am in fact the 30+ yo front side employee at my local zoo every Christmas, who realizes the difference between 20 and 28 is bigger than you think, yet still loves the jobs and the friends I make in spite of age gaps. I cannot say I ever expected to find that tie to a book. Hannah and Hawk’s relationship melts my heart and I smiled like an idiot for a lot of this book. I do love a good Grumpy x Sunshine trope. I absolutely cannot wait for the next installment and hopefully we will get more answers about the Madigans.
