I asked for a galley just because of the cover art. Needless to say, the art throughout the entire story was beautiful. I really loved the use of color symbolism and the inclusion of chromesthesia. I can't wait for the next one already!
The scenes of torture/abuse are not extremely graphic, but just a little squeamish. I enjoyed trying my best to piece together what was happening right alongside the main characters.
I wish I could take the MC and wrap him into a nice cozy blanket and give him a mug of hot chocolate and let him cuddle with Lupo...
