I liked this book. It had history of being a mixed girl and where her ancestors were slaves and then the other half were the ones who had the slaves. Edgar Allen Poe drops into her bar that she owns and it's a battle to get him back to his time. Clockers, portals, and confusion being in the future for him. She has books and lots which happened to be his. He's confused how a woman could be so bold and a bar owner. She has help of a cop who is a big history buff and wants to date her and a homeless man, George who she ends up helping more than just being nice to. End he gets back and writes a book about her, weird. Excellent writing and interesting book. Give it a read.
