Automatic 1⭐️ for having this much graphic content and not a single trigger warning that I could find. Six separate on page suicide attempts and the sheer amount of sexual assault and not a SINGLE heads up. Irresponsible.

And also, this book was bad. At its bare minimum, it could scratch the mafia itch you’re looking for, but I don’t recommend this book, or anything else written by this author. Do yourself a favor and avoid. There are waaayyyy better books out there (even ones this dark if you really want that kind of subject matter; see: Melnikov Bratva series by Sonja Grey). 

Pregnancy trope = icky 👎

At some point this book just felt like all smut. And that was extremely freaking uncomfortable and off-putting considering we started this 270 page (not very long, folks!) adventure with her being brutally and vividly assaulted again and again and again. 

Do better or don’t publish 🙃
