The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
3.0
Working at the local library, Aleisha reads every book on a secret list she found, which transports her from the painful realities she's facing at home, and decides to pass the list on to a lonely widower desperate to connect with his bookworm granddaughter.
I liked this and how the community found solace and companionship in books. And that you can discover a love, habit, hobby, or practice for reading at any age.
There were some library-specific things that irked me - like giving privacy information to patrons. That is absolutely unacceptable. And one of the characters called Pride and Prejudice "19th century smut." Nope.
