i liked the vibes and writing, but the plot was a let down. i felt like we were still in exposition when the story started winding down. and then it didn't feel like the groundwork was laid down for the plot twist in the end. i also feel like it's better not to mention certain aspects of the world (like colonialism in this book) than to bring them up but no develop them
