Beastly Things by Donna Leon
3.0
Donna Leon always reveals to her readers the delights as well as the seamier sides of Venice. In this one, she takes a long time to get to the motive and to the murderer and I found the wait a bit irritating, I’m sorry to say. Think it’s time for me to take a break from Brunetti, his lunches at home sparring with Paola, his crush on Signorina Elettra and his contempt for Patta, his boss. I’ll be back I’m sure, but not for a while.
