The Devil and Mrs. Davenport by Paulette Kennedy

5.0

A tale of freedom, finding yourself, feminism, strength, and grit mixed with a bit of horror and the supernatural. Loretta is a mid-century housewife with supernatural powers that go against everything her ultra religious husband stands for. Although she wants to use her powers for good, seemingly only bad things start happening. Her life begins to take a turn as she navigates her new powers and the possibility of a new life.

The idea of the devil and what is truly good or evil takes on many forms throughout the book across many characters, with the reminder that we all have demons.

This one will stay with me and is one of my all time favorites now. 5⭐️
