Ravaged by the Dark by Brooklyn Cross

4.0

“Her arms slid around his waist as he kissed the top of her head and knew he would do anything to help her.”

Arek lives in a world full of love and light. Renee lives in a world that has no love, only darkness. When the two meet, sparks fly instantly and although Arek shows Renee that there is light in a dark world, Renee is unwilling to sacrifice what it will take to be with him. But when the local gang leader has set his sights on Renee, will Arek be able to save her in time or will her nightmare haunt her to death?

“You make me feel worthy of being loved.”

Whew, I thought I was obsessed with Dean from the first book only to meet Arek & fall head-over-heels for him! First, I adore the way Arek is with Renee even though their first encounter is not perfect at all! Next, I love that Renee will stop at nothing to make sure her brother has everything he needs, even though life has never been kind to her, Renee does not let it deter her. Lastly, Uncle Trevorrrr! I can’t wait to read the next book about Arek’s twin, Trevor!

Note: check TW/CW! This is Book 2 of an ongoing series. This book contains violence, depictions of ptsd & themes that are not suitable for everyone.

Thank you to Brooklyn Cross and The SmutHood for this backlist copy. This review was written honestly & voluntarily based on my own enjoyment of the book.
