Northern Twilight by Samantha Young

4.0

If you are familiar with the series you already know Callie and Lewis, since this is a second generation book. We have seen those two meet, be friends and know we see them meet again after their break up.

Callie's dream was to study abroad but she always wanted to go back home and work with her mom on their bakery. It's time to make that dream a reality, she is ready to move back but she isn't ready to see Lewis again.

Lewis has just graduated and wants to stay as far away from his hometown as possible but one night with Callie reminds him all that he tried so hard to forget. Now that he had a taste of what's like to be together once again he is determined to fight to get her back.

As this is a second chance romance we see in flashbacks what happened between them the first time around, that helps to understand their dynamic and feelings.

But it's not your usual second chance romance since it is doubled by an accidental pregnancy that really helps to bring them close together.

Since I love the accidental pregnancy trope and this series, I was so glad we got to see that and especially the reactions from their families.

There is a bit of suspense in the plot as it is the theme in the series, but I would say that the couple is the main focus in the book.

I got to listen to the audiobook and boy, oh boy, that was such a treat for my ears! I loved the narrators and they way the brought the story to life.

* I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
