This was a behemoth of a book that I blitzed through nonetheless, especially once I hit the midway point. (My phone tells me I read for 19 hours over the span of 3 days.) Without going into spoiler territory since it’s still a very recent release, I think overall it’s a good sendoff to the first half of the Stormlight Archive series. Definitely puts things in motion for the greater cosmere that I’m excited to see play out. I thought some storylines were better than others, and some felt a little dragged out, but on the whole there were a lot of badass moments, hilarious moments, touching moments… lots of emotion-stirring moments generally. Glad I read it, but I’m also glad I’m done and no longer feel compelled to read 19 hours in 3 days.
