I don't read horror that often, but I do want to explore that genre a bit more. I've seen this book, by the author of Bird Box, recommended by a few bookish content creators that are more familiar with the genre, so I picked it up.

The story is about a girl Bella, who's being haunted by an entity that is getting more and more bold, first exiting her closet, then her room, and even her house when it gets discovered and the family tries to flee. The entity that Bella calls Other Mommy keeps asking if she could enter her heart, and as Bella learns more and more about her family's past, she starts debating if saying yes would stop all their troubles.
