I am going to be totally honest with you, I usually judge the book by its cover. Which I should not, but... What can I do, I am a simple woman. So when I first saw this book I did not expect much of it, but thank god and thanks to the author of this book that I gave it a chance, because it was brilliant.
The first thing that I noticed in this book was how funny it was, not like "pee your pants" funny, but the humour in this book was a lot similar to mine and I really enjoyed it straight from the first chapter.
The second thing that I noticed was how well the main female character was written considering that the author is a man. I know that many readers might be used to this, but I was truly impressed by this.
I also enjoyed the mystery part, it was like coming back to my teenage years and reading The Three Investigators again, but in an adult version.
I flew through this book, I liked it a lot and it is definitely one of those books that deserve to have many readers, because of how amazing it is. I am going to try to sneak it to my partner reading list and I already got another book from Steve, because I am kinda missing Francine already and also his writing style.
