I was disappointed by this book. I didn’t find many of the stories very memorable. I actually skipped ‘Especially Heinous’ as I didn’t get into the subject matter or style.

I liked the story ‘Eight Bites’ and ‘The Husband Stitch’ but otherwise I wasn’t very impressed. I think the book deals with important issues such as feminism, bodily autonomy and is well written but just didn’t quite work for me.

Maybe I’m just not clever enough for this style of literary short story!
