Words of Radiance is Brandon Sanderson's 2nd entry into the Stormlight Archive series, and arguably the best so far!
The world and it's mysteries are slowly being revealed with every new instalment and I loved what we discovered from this entry.
Where the first book started out in a fleshed out world, but started sluggish narrative. Words of Radiance starts as strong as the last book ended, throwing us in right where we left off and never slowing the pace.
I love the unique look and feel we get from the world, and love the additions of Shallan's artwork to help us visualise the intricate details Sanderson has created.
While story elements were a bit predictable at times, it never seemed to take away from my enjoyment of the book.
My one gripe/s stopping this from being 5 stars is I feel Sanderson's work Is missing something...
As well as some parts of the narrative or character details feel very out of left field. Some reveals come out of nowhere and feel almost unearned. Though saying that we still do have another 3 books in this specific storyline, and 8 over all so it may be a case of Sanderson's waiting to develop those in later instalments.
As it stands this book is a very solid 4 stars!
