This book made me miss old school portal fantasy so much. 

It’s well written, with an interesting (if predictable) storyline. As soon as I finished it, I was absolutely feral to start the second book. I have theories dammit!

But honestly, I love the characters (I would kill and die for Astrid and Marigold) and the mains are perfection. Frustrating asf (especially Ezryn), but perfect all the same. 

I can’t wait to see if my lore theories are correct!
