Who knew the end of the world could be so boring? The family never leaves their house to figure out what's going on. They still have electricity, water and food. There's a whole page of the food they bought while grocery shopping. Like a ramabling list of food. Was not enjoyably to read. They spend their days drinking an relaxing by the pool like nothing's going on. There's bits in the book where the narration says some think "little did they know that in the city xyz was happening." Don't tell me - show me. 3/4 of the way in something finally happens. A loud bang. Yep a bang. Never get an explanation of the noise. Might be an aeroplane, maybe a bomb. Then the book ended.
