The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

4.0

Couldn’t put this book down from Day One. I was surprised that at my tender age of 20 I would still have the childlike spirit in me to enjoy a Rick Riordan book. I always regretted not finishing the Percy Jackson series in my teen years and picked up this book by chance. (Yes I’m reading the books out of order...no judgement!)

The Trials of Apollo series is truly a fun ride to be on. I highlighted all the funniest quotes from the book but if it wasn’t an action packed heart-racing fantasy novel, it could stand on its own as a comedic standup piece. Apollo the titular character of the series, comes with humor, charisma, and a blossoming character arc that made my indebted heart fawn for. The relationships with him and the other characters of Camp Half Blood (who I’ll admit gave me 7th grade nostalgia just reading their names) is one of the best aspects of the novel.

Excited to read more. Even if you are an oldie (not that anyone over the age of 18 is old:D!) DONT be afraid to pick up this book! It’s quite a charm.
