I really can’t believe I’m rating a book about sport this highly, but then again, this book is not really about sport.

I liked the inclusion of characters from previous books by Jenkins-Reid, but I will say they pulled me out of the plot a little.

I spent the last third of the book worrying about the ending, and trying to decide which one I was rooting for. Thankfully, I’m not the author and it was better than I was imagining.

Like other books of hers, this one is a bit sugary without giving you a toothache, and I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say this book is about the meaning of life (as well as winning and losing, love and heartbreak).
