Strong and Weak: Embracing a Life of Love, Risk and True Flourishing by Andy Crouch
5.0
I got through this entire book on a plane ride this morning, but that doesn't mean it isn't a rich and remarkable gem. In fact, its brevity and the amount of wisdom it packs into such a short set of paragraphs is perhaps its crowning achievement among quite a competitive field of achievements. This book is for anyone who wishes to think more clearly about why we progress as humans into great levels of kindness, generosity, peacefulness and joy. And why we DON'T. And the fact that Andy unlocks this code so succinctly is part of its winsome power.
Strong and Weak should be required reading for anyone who leads anything (a family, a company, a small group, a church, ANYTHING). I'm not even exaggerating. I'm going to get a hard copy for myself and more to give away whenever the opportunity arises.
