I have to say I've been procrastinating on this review because I don't really know how to start, so I figured acknowledging this would be the way I go.
This book has so many layers of storylines going on it would make sense to loose what's going on real fast. But the opposite is true as I had no issues following anything. And then when most of it came together later on, oh gosh that was some good chapters.
One thing I like about this series is how it shows the reality of our western history and highlights all of the injustice really well. The way Bree and her friends deal with this is written in a way I really admire, it's done extremely well. I am white so I am privileged that I can't relate but oh gosh does this book raise my anger to next level exactly how it should.
Sel's and Bree's relationship was at the forefront of this book with Nick being away. They bicker and fight, make up again and love deeply for each other. This was expressed brightly and gave me a lot of strong emotions. It made me constantly hope they would be on good foot again because I just love them so much and want them happy please.
Without saying too much I want to note I absolutely loved the plot twists in this book. I did not see them coming (even though they were foreshadowed really well) and my mind was blown on multiple occasions.
Concluding I absolutely loved this book and can't wait until the next one comes out.
