So when I first heard about this I wasn't super excited in large part because I'm often disappointed by graphic novels and for whatever reason what I heard about this didn't grab me.

But then I discovered that Joe Hill is Stephen King's son and I read several of his books, then I realized he was the author of this series. THAT made me realize I should be excited about this.

I have to say, it's definitely better than I expected it to be years ago when I heard about it. Joe Hill is an excellent storyteller, and Gabriel Rodreiguez's art is a perfect complement.

This is shaping up to be in my top three favorite graphic novels.
