Absolutely loved this series. When I picked up The Shadow of the Gods, I didn't know what to expect. It was the first book in the series and it did a great job of setting up what was to come, but I didn't understand what was happening until halfway through that book. With The Fury of the Gods I was fully engaged in the story because the storylines from the previous books are wrapped up beautifully here. The way this series comes to gather is brilliant and I thought this the ending was satisfying. Several times I cheered as the book was wrapping up. I'm going to do a re-read soon. John Gwynne just earned a new fan.
