wow. this was a heartbreaking read but reading about iris and august’s love story was so so beautiful.
books like these are so hard to read but so important because they give out such a powerful message. iris is such an amazing character and one of my new favourite heroines and even though she’s not real, she’s representing what IS real for a lot of women which is absolutely heartbreaking.
i cant forget how beautiful august is as well, so kind and patient and loyal.
i loved this book and really appreciate the author for putting so much work and consideration into it. books like these teach me a lot and kind of put me in the perspective of women who deal with this, it doesn’t speak for all of them of course, but definitely changes how someone who hasn’t experienced it, views it.
