I really wanted to finish this. I accidentally read the wicked villains series out of order, so I’ve read three other books in this series. I didn’t feel comfortable with how their dynamic came together in this one. I can’t explain why in a coherent way, I’ve read more than my fair share of dark romance over years but I feel like Herclues was so genuinely good and was seriously minding his business when he got preyed upon by Megara and Hades made me feel icky.
