Somewhere Beyond the Sea by TJ Klune

Mostly because I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as the first, but still an amazing book - as to be expected from TJ Klune. I cried, I laughed, I analyzed parts of my childhood and cried some more. This book has some truly heartbreaking moments and yet also is overwhelmingly heartwarming. Wonderful writing depicting repercussions of trauma and working through emotions. And some interesting and unique characters.
I don’t usually read acknowledgements at the end, but I’m glad I read this one. I appreciate TJ Klune calling out JK Rowling for her transphobic remarks.
