Concepcion: An Immigrant Family's Fortunes by Albert Samaha

challenging informative reflective medium-paced

5.0

If you or your extended family ever endeavored to leave (or have left) the country for the US, this story is fascinating: part memoir, part Philippine history lesson, part sociopolitical commentary, I'm inclined to believe that this book should be standard in curriculums across the Philippines. I so highly recommend it.
