This didn't work for me. Much like how Dracula didn't work for me. The writing style. This is told in a diary format, and I just don't vibe with that format. I don't know if it's a translation thing, or what, but there were a number of sentences that felt run-on. An entire paragraph was one sentence, with about 10 commas to break things up. It made reading it feel like a chore. If I can find an English-speaking audiobook, I might come back to this. Since it's translated, the only audiobooks I've listened to samples of were in French, and I don't know any French.
