Pretty bloody fantastic, and a weird crossover between novel and short story set. I'm torn between loving and being wobbled by that approach, and I've no justification for that whatsoever. Definitely a case of the short stories needing read in order.

...and I love how the multiple threads run through the stories. Very well executed, that.

...and I *really* love the characters.
