The Ever King was such a fun book, and a great introduction to The Ever. As someone who loves The Broken Kingdom Series from LJ Andrews, this felt like a fantastic continuation of the world she already wonderfully built. This book/series can stand-alone, but it does feature characters from The Broken Kingdom series, which I personally think makes it more enjoyable.

I loved getting to know Livia and Erik and seeing their relationship progress. The side characters in this story aren't simply there, but have depth/intrigue and help to move the story along. We are left on a couple pretty big cliffhangers that make me very excited for the next book to come out!
