Mr. Important by May Archer, Lucy Lennox
5.0
My absolute favourite trope is boss/employee so I was really excited for this story. Reagan is the star of the show, he is Mr Important, Mr Amazing. He just oozes something special. No wonder Thatcher fell so fast. The initial meeting was an accident that when discovered, created an almost forbidden feeling. So much of their lives already entwined by family friendship. I was glad that Reagan paid no notice to this, it was a non issue for him. There are obstacles to overcome, Thatcher being his boss is a big hurdle, but once he lept over the first one, nothing was high enough to stop them. They were fierce together, a force that was unstoppable. I loved their passion together, it was steamy and hot. At times I felt the story got too involved with the work aspect or with other family members, but it was needed to deepen the narrative. Layla was a despicable character, and depite making the story more angsty, she also created more emotion from both Reagn and Thatcher. I really liked McGee's character, he helped add the fun and banter. An amazing HEA that will make you swoon. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
