What a great book, although I still have big doubts involving the civil war in Shri Lanka and the various factions, I really enjoyed the story. It is a rather complicated plot to follow at the beginning, partly because there are so many flashbacks and not all of them clearly delineated (I think the audio book is really hard to follow) but at the end, once the book is closed, only the good memories remain and the fatigue disappears. Of course to think that all this happened when I was already an adult makes me think a lot about how Eurocentric my world is.

Che bel libro, nonostante io abbia ancora dei grossi dubbi che riguardano la guerra civile nello Shri Lanka e le varie fazioni, la storia mi é piaciuta tantissimo. Chiaro che all'inizio é una trama piuttosto complicata da seguire, anche perché i flashback sono tantissimi e non tutti chiaramente delineati (credo che l'audio libro sia veramente difficile da seguire) ma alla fine, una volta chiuso il libro, rimangono solo i bei ricordi e la fatica scompare. Certo che pensare che tutto questo sia successo quando io ero giá grande fa pensare parecchio a come sia eurocentrico il mio mondo.
