The plot is mostly mystery and fantasy/sci-fi/horror based but the characters are borrowed from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. At first I felt the borrowing of characters was a bit cheesy but about 1/3 through it became less of a focus and diverted from a lot of what was in Shakespeare’s version. By the end I definitely wanted more and am looking forward to starting the next book.
