Fire in His Fury by Ruby Dixon

The last quarter of this book was so good! Amy and Rhast connecting with Shreveport’s people helped move forward the series’ overarching plot, which the rest of this book definitely lacked.

I spent most of the book with deja vu - it really felt exactly like how the couples in books one and two started. If every book is going to have the same formula, there really needs to be ways to shake it up more than Ruby did here. I wasn’t interested at all until Amy and Rhast got to Shreveport. I wish we’d focused more on that storyline instead of the repetitive story we got instead.

I will say, I’m intrigued by what’s going on at Fort Dallas and will be excited to read more about that in the rest of the books…I just hope Ruby decides to breathe some life back into these books moving forward. They’re starting to feel very stale.
