Darcy hooked my interest from the moment we first met him in a previous book in the series, and I was pumped when I saw he was getting his own book! I was trying to think of what type of person could possibly mesh with him, and I think Elijah was just perfect. I loved his attitude towards things that were out of his control; it was honestly so relatable, and i loved that he just fit right in with the Foxilies. All of his different magical backgrounds surfacing throughout the book could have felt so random and out of place, but I actually thought it suited his character perfectly to keep being surprised by the puzzle pieces of his magic slowly connecting and revealing to him his true nature. He and Darcy had sizzling chemistry, but I also loved how much Darcy seemed to absolutely adore Elijah. There was such a softness there that I didn't know was possible in Darcy, but it was perfect and it didn't stop him from still being a sassy bastard 😆 This series is always such a delight to read, and as usual, I can't wait for the next one to come out!
