This book was a downer to me for a minimum of 75% of the book. I kept waiting for the character to reach out to friends even if she didn’t reach out to family and she just didn’t. It was hard to watch her try out lives based on themes of that one relationship! that one friend! my cat! success! fame! It takes so much more than one person, animal or concept to build a happy life.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Grief, and Suicide attempt
Moderate: Addiction, Alcoholism, Animal death, Emotional abuse, Toxic relationship, and Death of parent
