Tales of the Celestial Kingdom by Sue Lynn Tan
4.0
Format: Print
I loved The Celestial Kingdom duology and it was so nice to back in this world. I particularly enjoyed the prequel and epilogue stories (I will admit to being slightly lost on when the stories that happened during the books actually took place). I didn't know I needed the epilogue story but I am so glad I got it especially.
Only one story came from the perspective of our protagonist in the duology Xingyin and it was really nice to get the perspective of other characters in the series. The beautiful illustrations were another lovely touch.
It seems to be getting more common to publish short story collections in certain series and while I am not always a massive fan of short stories, in this case, I am definitely here for it!
