Knot Your Forever: A Jaded Omegas Standalone by Jarica James
2.0
I am putting this all in while it’s fresh.
This books feels like it was trying to do the same thing as another omegaverse WC book where the FL is pregnant and loses her mates, but she meets her mate’s twin brother “Lake” and his pack.
And this book fails miserably.
For all the grief and angst promised, it was interesting to me how nothing was left to imagination. The narration goes to great lengths to explain out everything in awkwardly done dialogue. There’s little internal monologue for me to relate to this allegedly “grief” and “angst”.
If a book is going to be about emotions, it’d be nice if the book allowed the emotions to breathe instead of cramming down your throat so much dialogue that you forget who’s speaking. Not to mention, this grieving FL is another eye-rolling, sasseigh, feisteigh FMC, and there’s an Alpha who just screams at her to breathe and be calm and somehow that works.
Because mates, amirite?
