The Really Dead Wives of New Jersey by Astrid Dahl

medium-paced
  • Strong character development? No

3.0

This book truly felt like you are behind the scenes of one of the housewives shows. Set in New Jersey, we have Hope that married Leo Fontana and agrees to join the show to further her music career.

This is a total popcorn thriller with some over the top characters. I loved how everyone had secrets and how these secrets prompted their actions.

I really enjoyed the show runner, Eden as a character. Her moral delimma of furthering her career with manipulation of the housewives or investigate what's going on brought an interesting perspective to the story.

The cast of narrators of Mia Barron, Sean Patrick, Emily Lawrence, Allyson Ryan and Devon Sorvari brought this to life.
