this book has: a shooting, accident that wasn’t an accident, com, amnesia, fake murder charges against a high school boy (who also sneaks into the boy he supposedly beaten almost to death hospital room all the time and no one minds), clueless jock, small-town police sheriff who can do absolutely anything and has as much power as the orange man™️, a random rim job in a supply closet, bully romance aspect (tho only up until 17% of the book when the MCs get together), a villain-esque rich bad daddy who turns into the greatest parent alive the second his son is crying about his not-so-secret bf being in a hospital, suicidal mother, one of the MC being artsy and super talented…

…. oh, and did I mention the main characters are still in high school?
