This is the last in the Artemis Fowl series, and I was sad for it to be over. Our teenage supergenius returns in a caper that has the fate of all humanity at stake. Opal Koboi, the villainous pixie, has a plan to break out of prison that puts all humanity at risk of extinction, and Artemis, along with his bodyguard Butler and elf friend Holly Short must stop Opal and save the day. The dwarf Mulch Diggums also contributes to the caper, and his rear end, once again, plays a pivotal role. The final book in the series shows how much Artemis has grown over the series, from a selfish preteen super-villain to a much more ethical supergenius with genuine friendships. But it's still silly and full of puns and fart jokes. Nathaniel Parker is the reader on the audiobooks, and he's a perfect fit. LOVED this series!
