While I enjoyed parts of this - like Reid, Jaren & his brothers, the romance - other aspects really kept me from loving this fully. The writing feels very detached, and while I applaud proper communication every time, every conversation felt very formal and distant in this book. It's quite jarring because I read Nora's Comforting the Grump from her Forestville Silver Foxes series before this one and it gave me ALL the feels. This one just... didn't. Which is sad, honestly. It's not bad! It just... left me feeling a bit indifferent.
