Too much brutality & ignorance of other cultures in one book. I mean really Dominic raped Marisa beyond redemption. She wouldn't have been so fucked but if it wasn't for Dominic. I also found lots of useless events happening, like if they communicated from the beginning Marisa wouldn't have went through all that & really she's naive to the point of agreeing to become napoleons mistress? That was a fucked up read.
