You're It by Cleo White

5.0

I was instantly drawn to this book from the promise of spicy laser tag and it did not disappoint.

The characters in this story stole my heart and stayed with me long after I finished their story. The neurodiversity representation in this story was written so well. I loved Cleo's writing and humour. There were tons of laugh-out-loud moments for me and the story flowed effortlessly.

Savvy and Dar are both flawed but unbelievably relatable. Savvy is a determined, caring hot mess and unapologetically owns who she is. She is trying to make the best of inheriting a run-down and in-debt arcade & laser-tag business, Galactic Guild, after her father passed away with the co-owner and her father's best friend Darwin. Together, they are trying to fix up the place and make it profitable again. Savvy and Dar's banter is so witty and fun to read. Their chemistry was amazing and their uncomfortable past made for some hilariously awkward and tension-filled moments.

Thank you Cleo for the ARC copy of You're It. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
