I started this right before bed and that was such a huge mistake because once I started I just couldn’t stop turning the pages, blew through it in one sitting and stayed up way past my bed time. And I’ve just gotten far too old to do that now but I couldn’t help it with this one, it grabbed a solid hold on me and would not let go. It’s horrifying and gruesome and some parts actually made me gasp out loud towards the end and that’s saying something because I’ve read enough horror at this point that not much freaks me out or surprises me. But this one did both and I’m still feeling uneasy about it. Long story short, this is one of the best horror books I’ve read this year and I doubt many will top it.
