This was my first KSR book (hard to believe as a lifetime SciFi reader). Great storytelling. Love the AI component. The hard science. Though sometimes predictable, especially preceding shifts in the storyline, I still really enjoyed the book. The ecological and environmental aspects are definitely food for thought in today's age - he's not trying to hide that aspect. Interbeing. Biomes. Even some mindfulness practice in the final chapter.
